Fear of success. Believe it or not, this is a real fear that people have to deal with. They fear being great, well I’m here to tell you, fear not my friend. Rise up and be great!! 🙂
One of my all time most favorite quotes is by Marianne Williamson, I’m pretty sure that you have heard or seen it somewhere it’s a quite popular quote.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
This quote just really speaks to me. “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not be?” Yeah, that part (cold chills, LOL). I believe people only fear succeeding when they’re not completely sure how to stay on that successful track. They fear that once they go up they can never have any set backs ever again. Once more, fear not. Some of the most successful people have had their ups and downs, good days and bad. Don’t let the fear of being great, and having a minor set back, discourage you from achieving your desires. Do not let the fear of being seen wholeheartedly keep you from your true potential. You are the only thing holding you back and once you realize that and let go of that fear.. my, oh my what greatness you can achieve!!
I really don’t know why I wrote this, maybe someone needed to read it today. Anyway, I hope it reaches the right person and as always, have a freakin’ fantastic day!! 🙂
