If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity..
To tell your younger self something that would be beneficial to them in the future, would you capture it or just let it slip?
Man, the things I would tell the younger JusMyah, I would have prevented myself from so much unnecessary problems and heartache. Don’t get me wrong I really do appreciate everything that I’ve done and overcame, for the simple fact that now I can help other people and I’ve learned so many lessons because of them, but.. well I guess there is no but, I would love to go back and have a talk with me with the mindset I have now, if that make sense. I think the main thing I would try to express to myself at an earlier age is to always stay focused on my goals and don’t get distracted with the nonsense that this world tries to make seem important. I would tell me to be confident in who you are and to stay motivated. Work hard and be humble. Surround yourself with people who have your best interest at heart and want to see you strive! Don’t be afraid to speak up at the right time and remain quiet when necessary. Read more. Pray more. Laugh more. Take risks. Be adventurous. In the words of the great Bob Marley, don’t worry, be happy! 🙂
Well, unfortunately, I can’t go back and have a talk with younger me, so I have to be willing to take that advice now. If you could though, would you?
What is one important thing that you would make sure younger you knew? Comment below, you never know maybe someone else might need to hear (read) it now.
As always, have a freakin’ fantastic day beautiful people!
Education, education, education…pursue more education. It’s a mind-opening experience.
And, young self, don’t be so impatient to grow up and be ‘an adult’. It’s not as much fun, nor as freeing, as you think.
