How often do you forgive? Are you selective in how, who, and/or when you forgive?

Webster’s dictionary defines forgive as: to stop feeling anger toward (someone who has done something wrong) : to stop blaming (someone) : to stop feeling anger about (something) : to forgive someone for (something wrong) : to stop requiring payment of (money that is owed)

Okay now Webster, that’s a bit much. 😲

Is it really though? For you to regain your peace of mind, for you to let go of all that extra baggage. I don’t think it’s a lot at all.

I believe the biggest issue people have when it comes to forgiveness is that they FEEL whatever someone did to them is just too horrible to let go of and they don’t really want to regain peace over that particular area in their life, (so many people are probably gonna disagree with me here but that’s okay, it’s just my opinion) am I wrong? If I am please answer me this, in you not forgiving, who is it bothering most? You or them? Oh okay. So, if the shoe was on the other foot, would you want to be forgiven if you were truly sorry?

Not only do I think forgiving others is important but also forgiving yourself. That’s equally, if not more important. Look, you aren’t perfect,  you make mistakes just like everybody else. No need in beating yourself up over it. Learn to forgive yourself and not participate in those wrong doings again.

Free yourself and others. Trust me, you will feel so much lighter when you do.
