You Are Your Greatest Work

Relax. Breathe. You got this.

People can be entirely too hard on themselves. Nobody is perfect, all we can do is strive for perfection and that’s what makes us perfect in the state that we are in, so why stress yourself out?

  • Your Mistakes Are Part Of Your Learning:

“The only man who makes no mistakes is the man who never does anything.” I didn’t say that, Theodore Roosevelt did, but it makes perfect sense. You learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others, which leads me to my next point..

  • Don’t Compare Yourself To Others:

It’s one thing to look at someone’s mistakes and learn from them, but it’s a whole other thing to look at someone and measure your greatness by theirs. No, no!! That’s not a very wise thing to do. You don’t know what they had to go through or overcome to get to where they are, so be you and work on yourself.

  • Learn From Your Failures:

Uh-Oh!! Oops! Well that didn’t work. Let’s try a different approach. This point ties directly into learning from you mistakes. If you never fail, you never grow. The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried. (I read that awhile ago and it kinda stuck with me lol, I love quotes by the way 😌)

  • Accept Your Weaknesses As Challenges:

Not good at something? Dare yourself to do the things necessary to become better and better at it until it becomes one of your many strengths. Don’t underestimate yourself. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

  • Surround Yourself With People Who Want You To Succeed:

I can not push this hard enough. You become like the people you spend the most time with, I highly advise you to choose those people wisely. I read a quote on Instagram the other day that said, if you are the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Constantly grow from the people around you, learn from them, take as much as you can possibly handle to help you succeed in this world.

I hope this list helped someone realize that being hard on yourself can only damage you rather than improve you. Know the difference between pushing yourself to become a better person and being damaging to your self-esteem.

You guys and gals are awesome, remember that and have a freakin’ fantastic day!
